In this demonstration, Casey Clayton, a Cloud Product Specialist, shows how using the Cloud Data Replication Service Salesforce legacy data is archived to a database and using a guide and processes this data can then be interactively be recreated into Salesforce. Guides also provide the means to view the legacy data from its source, the archival database.
Current and trial customers can download the guides and projects artifacts and import these to study or use as a "project accelerator”. The project is comprised on a fully functional set of processes. It just works.
If you intend to use this sample, you will need to configure the ReplicationDB connection to a valid JDBC data source that has been populated from Data Replication Services. The object restoration functionality requires a few custom fields be added to your Salesforce Org.
