Please, could you confirm the server and version of the OS you migrated to?
Not any changes in server, version, OS, etc., Earlier the client machine was running in domain A and migrated to domain B.
server is running in domain A(no change).
client is running in domain B(changed recently).
Sorry, just to clarify. Is Domain B running in the same server, version, OS as Domain A?
apologies...here the domain word is referring network domain not an informatica domain..
For more clarity,
infa server and client machines are in hostname.abc.net
Infa server machine still in hostname.abc.net
Infa client machine changed into hostname.xyz.net
Please check if the below points helps:
1. Whether PowerCenter server Host name matches with the Gateway Host value provided at configure Domains level in the PowerCenter client.
2. Check if INFA_DOMAINS_FILE environment variable is set on the machine where PowerCenter client is installed.
When you add an Informatica domain to your client environment you need to provide the domain name, hostname and port number.
You can try to add the network domain to the host name since the client needs to lookup the host name in a different network domain.
Once try to copy the domains.infa file from the server to the client machine and configure the domain in PC client with the exact details provided under your node in admin console.
Note: End of life for Informatica 9.6.x is 31st of March 2018. Please try to upgrade to any of the latest version
