Is it a relational data object on which the profile / scorecard is created ?
You can run a data preview on the underlying object. If that takes time as well, most of the times the DBA shall be able to examine the query plan and fix the problem. If the problem does not seem to be at database side, you can open a case with Informatica Support.
Can you please share a screenshot of the dashboard you are talking about?
If the underlying data object is a Relational object and you are using an LDO then I would take what you are doing in the LDO and create a CDO with a custom SQL Query. We saw timeout issues with using an LDO and with the CDO no timeout issues.
If you have a great SQL developer you can basically write the rule in the CDO and then the "rule" can just be looking at a virtual column called 'pass' and look for a 0 or 1 and put that on the score card.
