In Data Integration the Blob datatype is Oracle datatype and Informatica transformation level its equivalent is converted to binary. Please test in CDI and let us know if your able to load the data.
It's working to an extent.
I have changed the default data length of binary to max 104,857,599.
Now, I could see the data flowing into target table.
But for some reason, I am not able to open the attachment from BLOB column. Should I do any data conversion before loading ?
Simple Source-Target Mapping:
Are you creating the doc file on the target? If yes. Informatica create a file with the extension of doc but add Binary data to it. The MS office could not be able to render the data. Did you try the same to the Table and view the information to verify the integrity of data?
I am trying to move BLOB from one oracle table to another(simple one to one mapping).
The source table has doc, images in BLOB column
when I run the program, documents seems corrupted in the target table
To add to this, the data although is loaded to the target might not be exactly the same as the source which could be one of the other reasons.
Can you try a byte comparison of the binary data from source to target?
If that matches, then as stated by Mohan, the client (MS Office) is unable to render the content and hence the issue.
