Reject a Manual Merge Task in E360?

    Brian Stephenson New Member

In our MDM 10.4 E360 application, there is a completely flat hierarchy of workers (no "approvers"), so we have configured E360 so that if a Data Steward approves a Manual Merge task, it is automatically approved and sent into the ORS. However, we do not see any "Reject" button for the Data Steward. How do we reject a suggested merge that clearly is two different Business Entities, and we end up with two separate Business Objects, instead of one merged one?

For Merge task generated by the Match job/Task Daemon process, you can designate the candidates as separate by marking it as "Not a Match"

Refer - Identifying Duplicate Parent Records

          Snippet:

          6) Optionally, remove records that you do not want to merge or are not duplicates.
          1. To remove a manually added record from the
Matching Records view, from the Actions menu of the record, click Remove Candidate.

          2. To remove a system matched record from the

Matching Records view and dissociate it as a match of the target record, from the Actions menu of the record, click Not a match.

When you dissociate a matching record, the record does not automatically match again.
