Widows 7 is not a supported client per "PAM for Informatica Platform v10.5 "; but the workaround of using windows compatibility mode might still work. Are you receiving any error?
Do you have a very special requirement why you want to stick to Windows 7?
Because you will end up with all kinds of risks like security/vulnerability etc.
You could also install the client software on a dedicated cilent tools server and have the developers remote to this one.
Thanks Syed, we haven't tried it yet so don't know about any errors. Just trying to work out if it is feasible at this stage.
Hi Jan, this is the current set up the client has and they have asked us to investigate if it is a viable option before we look at alternatives. It feels like it will be best to avoid it if we can. I think asking them to remote into a client tools server might be a good proposal.
The clients probably cannot even be installed on Windows 7, let alone used. I've tried numerous times to install the 10.4 clients on Windows 7 and never succeeded, no matter what I tried (install as administrator, install in one compatibility mode or another, and so on).

As already mentioned, 10.5 is not supported with Windows 7. We would recommend installing the clients on the version only.
Thanks Anukrati. The client has decided that they can avoid having to do this so the tools will be installed on a supported O/S
