Why not just use the built in emailing capabilities of the data tasks vs trying to call python?
If you really want to use python I would not use a post processing command of the mapping task. That scope does not have access to the status of the mapping. You would need to use a taskflow where you call the MCT and then a command task passing the status from the mapping task.
Thanks for the response. The default failure email notification option in mapping task doesn't allow to parameterize the email IDs. Also, I cannot use a command task after every data task in a task flow. Is there any way to parameterize the failure email - email ID's?
No need to work on Python, just explore Schedule tab on mct.
just in case, Notification task in Taskflow.
