    DPS 10.5 not starting

    Arik Shlomai New Member

      Het all,

I installed Informatica 10.5 (Without EDP), and all the services are working properly.

Then, I tried to install and configure EDP by creating the Interactive Data Preparation Service (DPS) and the Enterprise Data Preparation Service (EDP).

      DPS is not starting up.

      I got only 2 errors related -

Error in the Domain log -

2021-06-22 07:36:50.295 : ERROR : (4169 | Thread 6 of 6 in DomainServiceThreadPool) : (Domain | Service Manager) : node01 : DOM_10055 : Cannot start the service process [DPS] on node [node01]. Hi Arik, This is a generic error and it is difficult to identify the root cause from this log snippet.

Please open a technical case with Informatica support, with the following information.

          • complete dataprep_start.log from $INFA_HOME/logs<node>/service/DataPreparationService directory
          • karaf.log from $INFA_HOME/logs<node>/service/DataPreparationService directory
          • Screenshot of the DPS service properties from Admin console.

            Hello Arik

I would recommend you to raise this question also under the community

"Data Engineering Integration ---> Enterprise Data Preparation" for the right stakeholders to view the discussion

You can add the logs and details requested by Venki in the above comment to the post

            Regards

            Srinivas
