Can you double check if this is happening only with Postgre DB source?
Also please share the screenshot from the designer.
Not to forget that we need to know which version of PowerCenter you work with and which ODBC driver you use to import the PostGreSQL tables.
Version of Powercenter: 10.2.0
Version of PostgreSQL driver: 7.1
Are you using DataDirect ODBC driver to import table in designer from PostgreSQL ?
If no, could you please try using DataDirect ODBC driver to create the DSN and then import.
There are different methods to integrate PC with PostgreSQL DB, but if the version of PC is 10.4 and higher, then the supported way is through PowerExchange for PostgreSQL native connector, which is shipped with PC.
However, you need to have a valid license to use this connector.
Admin Console -> Services & Nodes -> License Object -> Options -> Connections -> "PowerExchange for PostgreSQL".
If yes, use "Create PowerExchange for PostgreSQL Source" wizard and import the PostgreSQL metadata.
I remember I had the issue with AWS Redshift but only with views and not with tables.
I was also using PowerCenter 10.2 at the time.
If you only have the issue with views then you might ask the dba's or modellers to create a table which contains all the columns while also creating the view.
You then can import the structure from the table and connect to the view for data extraction.
Can you confirm the PostgreSQL database version ??
