Wrong forum, you want to post this in the Informatica Platform forum or in the Data Quality forum.
On the second one I found this post, maybe it helps you as well: IDQ migration from 10.2. to 10.4 on another environment
where shall i post this question then ?
on the requirement: We recently migrated from 10.2 to 10.4 version . As pat of upgradation we upgraded only the development instance and are testing all the features . We want to import some jobs from 10.2 test instance to 10.4 dev instance . Is it possible?
It's not possible to export/import an object from one version to another.
You need to upgrade the Repository first to the final version, and then you can export/import the object in that version.
I am not sure on the power center repository service import and export but In data quality we can export the object from lower version and import it in the higher version.
There is command to upgrade the exported object content:
infacmd mrs UpgradeExportedObjects
Steps that needs to be performed:
1. Export object from lower version.
2. Run the above command to upgrade the XML content.
3. Once done, import it in higher version.
Hope it helps!
You can upgrade objects exported from a previous Informatica release to the current metadata format, and then import the upgraded objects into the current Informatica release.

Please note that this works for IDQ and other applications running on the Informatica platform, but not for PowerCenter (which is technically a completely different world).
As mentioned earlier, questions about Informatica platform and in particular IDQ are better posted on the Data Quality forum (specific to IDQ) or the Informatica Platform forum.
Is your question resolved?
Do you need additional help?
As Nico mentions, to avoid confusion, that thread should be posted in the Informatica Platform community instead of PowerCenter.
