    File processor connector settings

    Francesco Vitelli New Member

      Hi,

I have an issue on a flow where i have to use e file processor connector.

The design is very simple: there is a csv file into a ftp directory that i have to tranfer to an SFTP directory of a remote server.

I have a File Processor connector created with the following settings:

      • Source File Directory (the path of customer FTP directory)
      • The Target file directory ( on remore server)
      • The file pattern (with the filename of csv file to be tranfered to remote server
      • The password to access to the host remote

I have created a mapping very simple where in the source step i have used the file processor

      And in Query option:

In the Target step i have used a dummy flat file with a static filename.

When i run this mapping the static file has created into the directory of dummy flat file but i'm not able to tranfer the csv file to the remote SFTP. The TEST connection of FP connector works fine and i'm able to access by Filezilla software to remote server so i exclude authorization issues.

When i run the mapping so built after few minutes i receive the error: [ERROR] com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out (Connection timed out).

Could you please help me to understand where or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks a lot for your support!!

      Francesco

          Hi Francesco,

Could you please send us the screenshot of the Data filters being used.

Are you able to run and fetch the file if you provide a file name instead of the pattern?

          Regards,

          Rakshitha

            Hi Rakshitha,

below you can see the data filter used. Sorry for hiding the values (it's for customer privacy only).

In this case the mapping try to move the file from local folder to SFTP server root.

The host name, the file name, the user, the password and the source and target paths are inside the connector. Initially i didn't think it was necessary to populate the filter since data are inside the connector, but being mandatory i've used those one showed only.

I'm not able to run and fetch the file providing the file name instead of the pattern and the other way around.

The error i get is always "timed out connection".

Thanks a lot for your support!!

            Regards,

            Francesco

              Hi Francesco,

Is the password mandatory to establish this connections?

I hope you have added the Password as part of Passkey1 in connection? Correct me if I am wrong.

If so, you will again have to add that passkey in the Filter tab.

              Passwords=Passkey1

Also send us the screenshot of how you connect from FileZilla? What all parameters you provide? All those parameters have to be provided as part of filter for the source to connect successfully .

              Kind Regards,

              Rakshitha

                Hi Rakshitha,

thanks for your reply, the password is mandatory to establish the connection; it has been added inside the connection as part of it.

I'll try to add it also in the Filter tab. Below you can see the parameters i use to connect by filezilla

                Access by filezilla parameters

I send you also the image of query filters set in the source:

                Query filters

As you can see there are the same parameters and even more.

Thanks a lot for your help!!!
