    DB2 refresh of lower version with higher version

      Hello,

       

      We are planning to refresh DB2 QA with DB2 PROD, basically copy over Database from DB2 Prod to DB2 QA. After refresh, we have to start CDC workflows in QA power center, below are the two ways i am thinking.

       

      Option  - 1

      1. Stop CDC Power center workflows in Prod, recover the session to get tokens

      2. Copy the tokens from CDC power center PROD to CDC power center QA

      3. Cold start the workflows

       

      Or

       

      Option 2

      1. After refresh of QA make

      RESTART1 = CURRENT_RESTART

      RESTART2 = CURRENT_RESTART

      2. Cold start workflows

       

      Journals are not copied from Prod to QA so will Option 1 work? Is there any other way?
