It looks like you are trying to create a domain in an already existing database.  Is the DB you are using an empty schema?

Also, do you try to install on Oracle 11gR1 (not supported) or on 11gR2 (supported)? That may also explain the difference.

            Regards,

                    HI Gowtham,

if you are installing on Oracle 11gR2 as indicated by Nico previously, please, double check and confirm database user account has the permissions indicated in the documentation:

                    Set Up Database User Accounts

                    Regards,

                    David

Using SQL*PLUS or some GUI tool, please double-check that the user schema infa_domain does not contain any tables or views prior to installing. If there are any, please drop those tables and views. All of them.

It might be necessary (due to primary/foreign key constraints) that you will need several attempts to drop all those tables and views, but nevertheless it can be done this way.

BTW are you trying to install over a former installation of the Informatica software? If so, please be advised that this is not possible; you have to manually clean up the user schema before trying to install another Informatica version in the same DB schema.

This is a safety measure to ensure that no domain database is overwritten by accident.

                        Regards,

                        Nico
