Hi JanLeendert Wijkhuijs.
unfortunately, I don't have an Informatica Account Manager because I'm just a student looking at automated testing alternatives.
I appreciate the information that someone can give me since there is not much information regarding the licenses in the new versions of DVO.
You need to be an Informatica customer to get a valid quote (i.e. price suggestion) for DVO. As a student, you're pretty much ruled out in this regard.
Also the license probably (that's a guess, it's a long time since I last viewed an INFA price book) will cost several 10,000$ per CPU core. Pretty much for a student, isnt't it?
Last note. 9.6 has been end of life for a few years. So even if your were not a student you would need to upgrade to a supported version before you could even think about getting a new feature.
Hi Nico. thank you for answering me.
I know that these costs could apply for Informatica PowerCenter, but, taking into account that DVO uses the IPC integration service to works (in my Study case, IPC is implemented with their respective licenses and servers), what is an approximate cost of adding the DVO-client?
Once again you are not going to be able to add this to v9.6. We (Informatica) do not support or sell anything that is end of life. Now to entertain your question. How many CPU's is your current PowerCenter installation running on. That will determine the price range.
I am not going to implement a deprecated version of DVO (9.6.0 is just an example that I did. this version had two types of licenses, Standard and Eterprise, I have not heard these licenses again in the new versions of DVO, are this licences still avaliable in new DVO versions?).
In my study case we work with 10.2.0 Hotfix2 IPC versión.
The number of cpu cores is 16.
I appreciate the info that you can give me, thanks.
I dont think that you can get any Informatica software without a currently active maintenance agreement.
