If you wish to create exception tasks in the Analyst UI, you must run the mapping through an IDQ Workflow.
Yes Robert , I know that if we want to use the Human Task (which generates the exception and assigns it to an user) we must run the exception management process from IDQ.
But I am exploring the level of integration which is possible between IDQ and PC. And this question is regarding the same.
If you want to assign a workflow_id, you could simply pass the output of the Exception Tx through whatever Tx you will use to generate that ID.
Sequence Generator, Exception Tx etc could be used to create the ID.
So you are saying - that a modification will be required in the mapping to generate the workflow_id if we want to execute it from the PowerCenter , and there is no out of the box configuration which can be used to simply assign any system generated value (like in IDQ mapping - we do not have to code anything for capturing this workflowid).
Please confirm if my understanding is correct here.
The generation of the ID is part of the Workflow and not the DQ mapping i.e. if you run your IDQ mapping on the DIS outside the workflow you also get the DummyWorkflowId output.
As the workflow functionality cannot be exported to PowerCenter modifications would be required.
