Is your workflow manager is crashing or the session is terminating after performing the changes?

Can you share the below details?
1. What is the application connection you are using?
2. Share the screenshot of the error if anything is available.
3. Configure the Debug diag tool in the client machine, using which we can capture crashing thread.
4. Check event viewer logs, if you could find anything.
To resolve this issue, the session can be configured to use Source Pushdown Optimization. In this scenario, the session does not crash.
