1) What are you hoping to do? Do you only want to store X logs?
2) Not a good idea. What if the log file is larger then you select, you lose any information or the mappings/workflows fail since you cant write to the log.
We want to ensure we can look at the older logs for tracking troubleshooting and purge the ones which are older than a few days if there's a default setting which auto purges or over rides the logs with the latest logs.We want to know what all we can configure with respect to workflow logs- number of logs which can be saved, size of the wf logs and other related settings.
Thank you Shubham.
I read the guide, and what i understand is, purging is not applicable to workflow logs:
Does that mean we can not configure or manage the developer workflow logs?
yes, it is possible to configure automatic purge of jobs logs in IDQ. Kindly refer to the KB article: 593925
However, take a note of below points:
1) This setting is not specific to workflow logs. It applies to all types of job logs.
2) This purge might not work if you had configured custom location for DIS logs under DIS > Processes > Logging Options > Log Directory.
Let me know if this helps.
I referred the article, and it says this could be done only if there are at least two MRS.
We have only 1 MRS and under 'Services and Nodes' we can not see settings like 'Preserve Data', and there's only one settings about the log file path.
Can this be not achieved if there is only 1 MRS?
Hi niti rawat,
We always recommend to have a separate MRS for monitoring. Login to Admin console and click on Manage -> Services and Nodes. Now click on Domain name under Domain Navigator and at right side you can see Monitoring configuration tab. PFB image
