hostname not matching & python version prevalidation errors while installing EDC 10.2.2

    Hrishikesh Jha New Member

      Hi ,

I am facing an error message while doing basic installation of  EDC 10.2.2 with embedded Hadoop cluster on training image which is a Linux machine with Oracle database . I logged in as root user. The error comes during the prevalidation check step. The error message is attached. It says that hostname -f does not match the Informatica Hadoop cluster gateway hostname in the format: <hostname>.<FQDN>.

However I kept the name same in both /etc/hosts and /etc/sysconfig/network files as AShjhaIPS086002.informatica.com

Also the hostname -f & hostname command gives the same result.  AShjhaIPS086002.informatica.com

The installation steps that I followed are given below –

      [root@ashjhaips086002 opt]# cd PlatformInstall/

      [root@ashjhaips086002 PlatformInstall]# ll
