Currently you can use APIs to accomplish usage or ELK stack to review logs. I heard an EDC release in the 2nd half 2020 will have usage statistics dashboard integrated in the EDC product.
To date we are using the catalog, administrator, etc directly and not using APIs. Can you elaborate on what you mean by the ELK stack? What we have been able to find in the logs is reference to those users who have logged into the administrator but not any info on those who have logged into the catalog itself.

Which version of EDC are you on?
In 10.4, there is a RestAPI endpoint called /1/catalog/eicstats that has login information for users and other stats. It won't have everything you are looking for, but does have quite a bit.
ELK refers to using a ElasticSearch Stack (ELK Stack: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana | Elastic ) to ingest the logs and perform research on what is logged.
We had the same question and this is the response we received :
In version 10.4.0.1, there will be a report with much more info available. Including :
- Log in information
- Duration of login session
- Keyword search logging
- Any export or import the user performed
- Any lineage that is viewed (successful or not)
Right now we are on 10.2.2 and the only option is to grab when a user logged on out of the "LDMCatalogUI*" files.
We are getting ready to install the 10.4.0.1 Service Pack. Did they indicate where this report will be found?
If not, can someone from Informatica provide some additional info on this report and where we would find it? My assumption is it would be in the Informatica Administrator under Reports.

The first iteration of the dashboard with this information is in 10.4.1 (Jun/Jul 2020 release) and not 10.4.0.1 (March release).
