For your testing, you can run a Flat file-Oracle (sqoop) mapping in Hadoop pushdown mode.
I think the cloud mass ingestion can solve your usecase but i need more details on what you are trying to do.Could you provide details on your usecase? Are you looking for file ingestion or file copy ?
The primary usecase for BDM is to process data on your hadoop cluster , file copy/transfers is not the right usecase for it. If you have one or two usecases you can script it and call them in a workflow but you can do ingestion by building dynamic mappings.
I am looking at flat file/XML file ingestion>transformation>flat file output. I am considering the use of dynamic mappings if the XML tags/flat file attributes differ slightly between each input file which would be output to the same output file.
