As long as we're talking about PowerCenter, that might be easy to do.
Just look up the Command Reference guide (part of the Informatica Platform documentation set), the command pmrep has two functions "SwitchConnection" and "UpdateConnection" which might be helpful here; "pmrep switchconnection" can be used to replace one connection by another connection throughout a whole repository, "pmrep updateconnection" can be used to replace individual properties of a connection.
Having written that, what exactly do you mean by parameterising connections? Do you use session parameters for those sessions? Or what do you mean? Please clarify.
Thank you for your reply.
"what exactly do you mean by parameterising connections? Do you use session parameters for those sessions? Or what do you mean? Please clarify."
When i mean this is not parameterized, there is no parameter file with connection for BI_DEV and no parameters created at mapping level. We used the default BI_DEV connections that comes with the sessions during its creation. Hope this helps.
If I understand you correctly, that means that the connection BI_DEV is "hard-coded" in the session properties.
Then the "pmrep SwitchConnection" command is your friend here.
