Informatica Managed File Transfer is part of the B2B suite and a separate product.
As far as I recall, you can transfer files from PowerCenter to a FTP server via SFTP, meaning a secure channel. This should be part of the PowerCenter installation and license (as far as I understand licensing) as long as you have the flat file option for PowerCenter.
Ok that's good news. But can the file be encrypted at rest and transit? My client requirement is to encrypt in .pgp format and transfer to FTP location.
Not without additional tools.
PGP requires PGP software, PowerCenter can't do that out of the box.
The transfer itself is done via SFTP, so the transfer channel is secured.
But not the "resting location".
