Storing the Source and Target record count

      Hi,

I designed an informatica mapping which will extract the data from .txt file and load into oracle table. This process is working as per the expected.

I would also like to know and store how many records exists in file and how many records loaded into target table, Can you please help me on how to implement this.

You can count the records from the source file (excluding empty lines, these are already eliminated by the flat file reader of PowerCenter) using an Aggregator transformation without any Group-By port (in such a case the AGG will calculate the requested aggregate function for all its input).

You can find out the numbers of records written per target instance in the repository view REP_SESS_TBL_LOG. All you need for this is read access to the repository database.

          Regards,
