Integrate a second target into your mapping; this second target is a script which has to be invoked after the mapping has finished, and the script has to "split up" the target file created by the mapping into individual files.
Please don't ask me for more details; this is just an idea, I don't have any development experience with the Developer myself.
Thank you Nico for responding to this thread, i really wanted to know if this is possible through the developer tool, I have implemented this many times with powercenter but unable to find it in developer tool.
Scripting will be last option but really wanted to hear from others. Robert if possible please share your thoughts.
The same requirement has come up in the past and a feature request (PLAT-21581) was opened to provide the Transaction Control and filename port functionality for mappings run via the DIS. There is no ETA on when this may be implemented.
The only workaround documented is to use a parameter file.
since this functionality is not available in developer tool, I created a mapping which is loading all rows from table to flat file and than wrote a script to parse each line from file into a separate file and name of the file is extracted from the each row..
Thank you all for helping me.
