Data Domain Discovery vs Data Domain Propagation

    Ken Guyette Guru

Trying to understand the difference between Data Domain Discovery and Data Domain Propagation. Based on these two articles it appears that...

Data Domain Discovery is scheduled and done at the Resource level and takes into account delivered data domains, example based data domains, and rule based data domains.

Data Domain Propagation is a scheduled system job (default is every 45 minutes) and takes into account delivered data domains, and example based data domains only.

      My questions are...

      1. Is domain discovery done on the entire resource each time even if some assets have already had their data domains curated? (i.e. approved/rejected)

      2. Is domain propagation where the AI/machine learning comes in so that as we curate delivered or example based domains it updates assets across the enterprise.
