Make sure that the secure agent is running on the machine which is running hive engine
so both hive and secure agent should be on the same machine
Is there any SQL server data tools required on the machine where agent is installed ?
If yes which version need to be installed?
I am trying to push the data from a table in Azure Data Warehouse to another table.
I am facing the below issue
READER_1_1_1> JAVA PLUGIN_1762 [2017-06-28 18:49:59.929] [ERROR] com.informatica.powercenter.sdk.SDKException: com.informatica.cloud.api.adapter.runtime.exception.ReadException: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Incorrect syntax near 'HADOOP'.
at com.informatica.cloud.api.adapter.reader.runtime.GenericRdrPartitionDriver.run(Unknown Source).
from the log below is the query it is trying to exec.
CREATE EXTERNAL DATA SOURCE Informatica_XXXXXXDS
TYPE = HADOOP,
LOCATION = 'wasbs://XXX@XXX.blob.core.windows.net/',
CREDENTIAL = Informatica_sqlblobrg
Informatica cloud agent is running in my local machine and i am having sql server 2012 on my machine.
Are there any pre-requisites?
When i tried to exec the above external data source query from visual studio i am getting the below error
"SQL70627 :: The external data source type HADOOP is not supported on the current platform."
please help with the solutions and any prerequisites.
The issue is with the connection string.
I have mistakenly used the Azure DB instead of Azure Data warehouse and causing all the above issues.
Thanks to the sqlserver 2016, in which we can differentiate the azure and data warehouse databases clearly.
It helped me , so i changed the connection to datawarehouse and solved my problem.
