I've had success in using PowerCenter's web service consumer transformation to create simple mappings to fire off various tasks though the SIF. I know Data Quality also has this transformation. From there, those mappings/workflows/applications can be scheduled to run.
I would like to hear if anyone else in the community is using DQ or PowerCenter mappings to run SIF commands. It was a convenient way to run SIF commands and route their responses to a relational database. We use it in testing to clear matches and empty base objects when testing match rules against defined use case data sets.
Thanks Jeremy for your response. To achieve this , we used web services consumer transformation in a mapping to call executebatchgroup API and triggered Batch group from workflow.
Hi Swaraj, could you please give the more details on how you did in web services consumer transformation in a mapping? probably sample code if possible? I am exactly in same need (can't use commandline due to time constraint)? and any helpful details in workflow configuration?
