The last that I heard, neither PWX CDC for SQL Server nor IDR for SQL Server support AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
Product Management was talking about possibly supporting them in some future release, but I am not aware of any commitment to do so.
Two years on is there support for this coming soon? And with the Replication Distribution database now being able to be put in an AG ..... I'm guessing support for this definitely not coming soon?
Both products do today.
IDR 9.7.0 or later.
PWX 10.1.1 or later.
However, to the best of my knowledge, MS still recommends that the DistDB be outside of the AlwaysOn AG, and that is the configuration that PWX supports.
IDR doesn't use DistDB.
Thanks Dan. We have 10.2.0
BTW - MS has recently (last couple months it looks) provided functionality to put the Distribution db into an AlwaysOn AG. I'll get confirmation from Global Support to get confirmation that Informatica PWX CDC doesn't support that configuration. I'll assume that's the case in the mean time.
If it is not the same AlwaysOnAG that the source DB is in, this may work.
However, it is officially not tested, and might have problems that we don't anticipate.
