gpit88 Sep 5, 2012 11:49 PM (in response to Rohit Vashisht)Hi Rohit,
Thanks for your inputs. But having a small doubt!!
We cant use data services directly from DV for creating virtual tables? Or only with the help of additional softwares like Composite software only Virtualization can be achieved..
Is there any softwares inside informatica package itself(like powercenter,dq..)??
Regards,
Guru

user155945 Nov 1, 2012 6:29 AM (in response to gpit88)From version 9, Informatica uses its own integrated tecnology for virtualization. Its called Data services and is built in the new developer platform (same as IDQ). http://www.informatica.com/us/products/enterprise-data-integration/powercenter/powercenter-data-virtualization-edition/

Data Virtualization / Federation can be achieved using Informatica Data Services (alone) within the Developer tool.
Informatica used to OEM Composite's technology years ago and then they decided to build their own solution that fit more within the paradigm of a mapping (similar to PowerCenter and DQ mappings) in order to build a more comprehensive (seemless) data integration platform.
