Administrative process

The administrative process includes the steps that you take as an administrator to integrate Data Integration Elastic with your cloud platform and create an elastic configuration.
As an administrator, you take the following steps:
  1. 1. Perform the required tasks to integrate Data Integration Elastic with your cloud platform.
  2. 2. Create an elastic configuration to define the cloud resources that you want to provision for an elastic cluster.
  3. 3. Monitor the elastic cluster when the Secure Agent gets the cluster up and running.
The following image highlights the administrative tasks:
As an administrator, you perform integration tasks and then create an elastic configuration. Then, a developer creates an elastic mapping and runs a mapping task. When the mapping task has been submitted, the Secure Agent creates an elastic cluster and manages cluster health and activity. As an administrator, you monitor the cluster health and activity.
Note: If you use the AWS cloud platform, you can create a serverless runtime environment instead of performing the integration tasks and creating an elastic configuration. For more information, see Runtime Environments.
