Could you please elaborate on your requirement with more explanation so that we can help you?
When you connect to a data object, there are six columns that are populated in the overview, Column, Native Type, precision, scale, primary key, null. Yet the description remains empty. can this be populated automatically, as part of the meta? and can this schema be downloaded or pulled to to be used to compare against other schema's?
Thank you in advance
Description for the Relational Table object imported cannot be populated automatically. Relational Tables in the Source Database do not necessarily have a Description against each column.
On the Schema comparison, is the use case to compare the schema of one relational table with the schema of another?
If yes, no it is not possible to achieve that use case using the Developer Tool in IDQ as there is no such explicit option available.
It is true that there is no feature to compare schemes. Just out of curiosity, what kind of schema comparison are you looking for ( sample input & outputs ) ? Also, what are some sample use cases when this would be useful while implementing data quality processes ?
