I don't have any experience with IDQ but with PowerCenter it works fine.
Do make sure you don't have any SQL overrides etc.
At runtime both PowerCenter and IICS are able to fully create the logic for PDO.
You can only use one type of data manipulation at a time (so insert/update/delete)

Yes, filter value is overridden in config file. I am able to get the required filter query now.
And one more thing that full filter logic is not supported for all the PDO.

You are right if memory serves me well
I believe it was in the PowerCenter repository connection configuration you can also configure the odbc subtype.
For 10.2 I believe there were only 4 from which you could choose (AWS Redshift was one of them and SQL server could also have been one of them)
I assume for IDQ it is more or less the same.
