Can't connect to Salesforce after license renewal

    Astha P New Member

      Hi -

We recently/yesterday had our partner trial license extended. While, when looking at the licenses under the Administrator, everything including the Salesforce connectors shows they have been extended, when I test my existing SF connections they all fail. I remember having a similar issue the last time when our license was renewed. I tested other connections like Flat File, Concur, QuickBooks and they all work fine.

Can someone help with this issue?

      Thanks.

P.S.: The credentials provided in the Salesforce connections are all correct. There are no issues in respect to that.

          HI Astha,

Please share the error you are facing while test connecting.

          Thanks

            Hi Radhika -

The error message is - Cannot connect to Salesforce.com. Verify that the Salesforce.com server is running. Please note that the credentials provided to the SF connector are all verified outside of Informatica to be working successfully.

Just to clear out any issues with the Agent, I restarted the secure agent and now see it is having trouble restarting the Data Integration Services. Attaching a few screenshots to reference.

                Hi Astha,

Please check the tomcat.out from infaaget/apps/Data_Integration_service/<Latest Version >/tomcat.out

                And agentcore.log from infaaget/apps/agentcore/ location.

These logs will give the reasons for the data integration service going down.

If you need help in analyzing. Attach these logs here. I shall analyze and help with the probable cause.

                  Hi Radhika -

Yes, that's where I started and was seeing very strange and at times conflicting error messages. So, I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the Secure Agent which seems to have fixed almost everything except for one strange behavior. If my source and target both are Salesforce.com then for those tasks I am seeing " error, "Cannot connect to Salesforce.com. Verify that the Salesforce.com server is running screenshot attached.

Are we not given the license to connect to Salesforce from both ends, as a source and a target?

                    Hi Astha,

I see that the test connection is successful now for "PSA_Prod_SF_Conn".

Could you please confirm if the task is still failing?

Could you please try with different APIs and check again.

                    Thanks

                    Rakshitha

The issue now is only when both the source and the target connections are Salesforce. If the source is Salesforce and the target is something else or vice versa then the tasks run fine. Only when both the source and the target are Salesforce connections, that's when the "The test connection for PSA_Prod_SF_Conn failed. Cannot connect to Salesforce.com. Verify that the Salesforce.com server is running. " error shows up. And this behavior is consistent on all my tests.

its really strange that only sf to sf is failing n rest of the things are fine, things to validate

                        > it is same connection used as src n tgt or different one?

                        > connections using exact same secure agent?

                        > i believe test connections are successful?

                        > is there any other error in tomcat log when task the task is triggered?

                        <secure_agent_installed_dir>\apps\Data_Integration_Server\logs\tomcat

                        latest .log

                          Here are the answers, Nitin,

                          1. Yes, same connections used for source and target
                          2. Yes, since its a same connection used, the secure agent is same as well
                          3. Yes, test connection is successful (everytime). Additionally, this same connection is being used in other tasks both as a source (with different target) and a target (with a different source) and those tasks are running just fine.
                          4. There was nothing related to the task I ran or Salesforce connection in the log file.

I, however, edited the task by reporting to the SF connections, adding filters, refreshing schema, etc. kinda built the whole task again and that seems to have solved the issue. This thread can be considered closed.

                          My conclusion was:

Uninstall agent, remove all the Informatica Cloud Secure Agent install files from the drive. Download the latest exe and install the agent again. If you have a lot of things than the agent might need good 6-8 hrs to download all the files and set itself up. Give the agent a day to settle down. This should solve the agent connection issue. And for any tasks not working, just rebuild 'em.

                          Thank you,

                          Astha
