There are multiple ways to automate this.
example1: skip success emails and keep only failure notifications.
example2: Query metadata table and check success wf count and send an email if it is not matching as expected.

As mentioned by Jaganathan, you can skip successful workflow emails notifications in case your query is related to power center workflows only. But if the query is related to Data quality, Monitoring MRS application service can be used to check the status of the Failed/Successful workflows in IDQ.
This will help in monitoring only the Data quality jobs and will not be applicable for power center jobs.
