- For linear taskflow, if any subtask failure occurs - unfortunately there no approach to auto start the subtask.
- For Advanced taskflow, if any subtasks failure occurs - you can try below approach:
. In Advanced taskflow -> Data task -> select Error Handling part "On Error" as "custom error handling"
. create decision task before this taskflow.
. From Data task -> there should be two flows one towards end and another towards -> wait condition.
. In wait condition -> you can apply timing to wait like 5 min etc.
. After wait condition, you can place same decision task as above mentioned. So process will jump to data task.
Note: Here you can use Assignment task and define counter in it. So if Data task fails, counter will increase and restart process will run specific number of times.
I hope this helps!
Thanks Akshaye for the reply.
For liner taskflow- Can we auto restart the complete task flow in case of failure of any subtask.
How about the "Data replication", "Data synchronization" and "Mapping configuration" tasks.
Can we auto restart any of them?
We dont have any autorestart option in case of failure for DRS,DSS,Mappings or linear taskflow. You can make use of a custom script to trigger the task using Informatica's REST API in case of any failure.
