1. Re: Where to download the versio 10.4?
Nico Heinze Jul 10, 2020 9:11 AM (in response to Han Langereis)1 of 2 people found this helpfulWith all due respect, but an upgrade requires some prerequisites, such as an exact impact analysis. From your question I dare to suppose that you are not a very seasoned INFA administrator; if my guess is right, then please consider someone to support you in this upgrade, it's not at all as easy as e.g. a Windows upgrade (not even for a "simple" plain PowerCenter upgrade).
On to your question. I suppose that you work for some customer. Customers should always request download links for the software from Informatica Shipping. Their so-called Primary Read/Write Contact can always contact Informatica to request download links, new license keys, and the like. For the Primary contact it's a breeze to get download links etc.
On the homepage of the Informatica Network, at the left edge, you will find a link named Support Documents. Here you will find a document named Support Policies and Guidelines. You should study this one (at least partially) to understand how to get in contact with Informatica for download links, license keys, and the like.
Also please don't take it as an offense, it's not at all meant that way: please hire someone who has experience with preparing and executing such upgrades. It's in many respects not as simple as many people would like it to be.
We (here on this forum) will try our best to help you in preparing everything, but depending on the actual situation it might save you months(!) of pain to ask the right people for help.
Regards,
Nico

2. Re: Where to download the versio 10.4?
user136699 Jul 10, 2020 11:56 AM (in response to Han Langereis)You'll need to open a shipping request to get the download links. Since is a new version, the download is not available on the portal.

JanLeendert Wijkhuijs Jul 30, 2020 6:11 AM (in response to Nico Heinze)Hi Nico,
I would like to distinct between primary contact and read/write contacts.
All read/write contacts are able to log a shipping request. The primary contact is allowed to add/remove the read/write contacts from the project.
Kind regards,Jan Leendert

5. Re: Where to download the versio 10.4?
Rajan Rath Jul 31, 2020 3:39 AM (in response to Han Langereis)You can firstly review the "HotFix Downloads" section on the Network portal to see if your version is available. Check the below link:
https://network.informatica.com/downloadsView.jspa
If not, as suggested, open a Shipping case for the shipping team to provide you with the download link to the specific version.

Rajan

JanLeendert Wijkhuijs Aug 3, 2020 2:50 AM (in response to Rajan Rath)Hi Rajan,
If you aren't connected to a project this isn't visible to you.
Very likely you must be a read/write contact for a project to see this.
Kind regards,
Jan Leendert -
7. Re: Where to download the versio 10.4?
Rajan Rath Aug 3, 2020 9:34 AM (in response to JanLeendert Wijkhuijs)Indeed Yes. At least the contact should be associated to a project; not necessarily a Read/Write (Primary) contact.
If not associated, you can request one of the project contacts to check if the required software is available. If not, just raise a shipping case for the shipping team to get you the required download links.
Regards,
Rajan

Asmita Kesarwani Aug 5, 2020 8:46 AM (in response to Han Langereis)Hi Han,
If you have Project ID for your account then you can raise a Shipment case with Informatica and the respective team will provide the installers.
Thanks,
Asmita

10. Re: Where to download the versio 10.4?
user101600 Aug 21, 2020 5:46 AM (in response to Han Langereis)installing Informatica is not a simple process where you just click next next on the screen and your done.
In order to be successful especially when jumping across several versions, you should consider performing some sort of upgrade planning. Also there are two different types of upgrades and in place upgrade and parallel upgrade. Both offer advantages and disadvantages. The easiest par is opening a case with Informatica to get the software download links. The most time consuming part is planning for the upgrade, implementing it, then testing. -
11. Re: Where to download the versio 10.4?
user101600 Aug 21, 2020 5:52 AM (in response to Han Langereis)since you will be jumping across multiple versions of infromatica, there is One key factor that you would need to consider, You need to make sure weather or not the current hardware that you have can handle the extra system requirements that the newer PC application might need. You need to plan ahead for any potential workload increases or businesses requirements like SLA that you might need to meet. Therefore given these conditions your Hardware might also need to be upgraded.
