System Attributes: Data Owner?

In EDC, I'm viewing the Overview tab for an asset such as column, table or resource. In the "People" section on the right I see "Data Owner".

I'm the catalog admin, and I'd like to customize what object types the "Data Owner" is assigned to, and also allow for multiple selections. I'm in EDC Admin > Manage > Attributes > System Attributes. I've filtered the list by "owner" and I see 12 matches. But none of them are specifically called "Data Owner" which is the label I see in EDC. How can I tell which of the system attributes is linked to the "Data Owner" that I see in EDC?

the Data Owner attribute is from the Default User Enrichments model (package com.infa.ldm.ootb.enrichments) - it is not a custom attribute.

Hi Julie, You may create custom attributes to specify the tag and modify the attribute as per your need. As of date, multiple selection of Data Owner is not possible. This enhancement has been already noted as a feature request for future release.

Is there a way for me to hide the Data Owner so it doesn't display in the "People" section in the asset overview?

(And then as Amrita recommended, I could create a custom attribute of type UserDataType that will allow multiple values.)

not that i know of currently. the Data owner is also used to determine who can certify/de-certify a dataset

Hi Julie, I have found Data Owner in the Custom Attributes tab of the Catalog Admin UI v10.2.1 'Manage>Attributes. feature. There, I am able to edit the 'Custom Attribute' (per Darren Wrigley, it is delivered as Default User Enrichments model, is not truly a custom attribute and may be linked to specific functionality in later versions). For instance, I have edited which objects 'Data Owner' applies to so that it no longer appears on any object for the time being. This process achieved for me the type of solution you seem to be seeking.

Can someone at Informatica confirm whether this option described by Patrick G is available in 10.2.2HF1? I remember being able to hide those attributes during my lab training on 10.2.1, but it appears we don't have those options in 10.2.2HF1 for these 3 OOTB attributes. I want to understand whether it may simply be that my user role/permissions doesn't let me access the Manage > Attributes options for the 3 OOTB people role attributes.

Yes, these attributes are not shown in ldmadmin and can not be hidden in Catalog UI. This is the current design.
