the facet selection on the left side of the search results are not meant to be retained across session, not even across searches.
To achieve this, you administrator can create a search tab that automaticaly applies a certain number of filters. this can be achieved in the app configuration.
you can find more information about the search tabs here: https://docs.informatica.com/catalog/enterprise-data-catalog/10-4-0/enterprise-data-catalog-user-guide/customize-search/…
Is it a thing only admin can do ? Is it possible to send the screenshot of the setting so I can forward it to our admin .
Also, I am facing one more issue - the ordering of filter's is also not consistent .For example , I want to see the data domain filter at the top so I have arranged accordingly in the filter-settings but when I search it doesn't always show in top.

For the search tab creation anyone who has the Application Configuration privilege can do it.
On the next screen you can pick and choose from the assets in the catalog what you specifically want to filter on. I believe this will be based on whatever is in the catalog at the time you create the search tab. For example we currently only have one data domain out there so that is the only one we can add as a filter option.
On the final screen you can determine if all users can see it or if you want to make that search tab visible to only certain users or groups.
Thank you Ken ! I will try this out .
