Just to add, the source and the target both are sql-server tables.
Resolved that error. I had partitioned my source into 10 and used pass through. I deleted all the partition points and reran it, it started running, but now I am facing another issue.
My workflow is taking time as well. It used to finish in 25 to 30 minutes, but now it is taking more than 3 hours 30 minutes. My source and target are SQL server tables. Source has around 3.7 million records. Any ideas on performance tuning?
Also, apart from pass through, can i use any other partitioning technique ?
You might need to check for the exact bottleneck to improve the performance.
If the session used to finish in 25-30 minutes earlier and now takes time; what has changed?
It is worth check if the delay is caused during the fetch of data from source, during the write to the target or during any transformation.
Please download the Performance Tuning guide for PowerCenter, it contains a good lot of hints how to identify any source / target / transformation bottleneck. This is the best starting point for your analysis.
