If MySQL provides some sort of a transaction log which you can access from the "outside world" (meaning the world outside of MySQL, such as PowerCenter or the INFA platform), then yes.
Otherwise... I fear there's no other way. Informatica CDC does not (as of my knowledge) support MySQL.
I have seen the reply from Dan Smith and not sure how it went wrong.
PowerExchange MySQL CDC was added at PWX 10.2.0 HF1. It does not exist in the earlier code.
Even, I was thinking there is no option for MYSQL CDS then I realized after "Don Smith" reply it been added recently.

Nico is correct - there are some restrictions, as not all MySQL log data in a way that allows CDC to work.
