    Introduction

    CheckLinks is a tool that can check for mismatch in datatype and precision between linked ports.Often data transformation errors occur when transformation ports with inconsistent datatype and precision are linked in a mapping.

    Purpose

    CheckLinks tool can read the exported mapping XML file as input and create a color coded report that points to mismatches in datatype and precision between linked ports.

    Prerequisites

    • This tool requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.5.

    How to Install

    To use CheckLinks tool do the follow these steps:

     

    1. Export the mapping.
    2. Launch the tool by double clicking checkLinks.bat.
    3. Enter the file name of the mapping export XML file.
    4. Click Analyze > View.

     

    The tool will analyze the mapping and display the report showing mismatches in datatype and precision between linked ports. These mismatches will have to be corrected in the mapping.
