Configuration Support Manager for MDM

    The Configuration Support Manager (CSM) tool has been a backbone in enabling the user to gather configuration information from your hosts running Informatica, tracking your configurations, replicate issues and advising health checks. It has been the foundation for our rich configuration management capabilities.


    Hence, building on this foundation, we have enhanced the CSM capabilities to include more products under its tree, which includes CSM for MDM.


    You can use CSM for MDM to gather your configuration, system, environment and product details of the machine which is hosting Informatica MDM.


    CSM for MDM gathers data from the Hub server, Cleanse server and Database server, which can help in troubleshooting issues related to the following:


    • Supported/Unsupported platforms (PAM specific)
    • Details of different products with versions and patches (Products includes Application server, Database, MDM Hub and so on)
    • Memory settings
    • Configuration details such as, and so on
    • Environment details
    • License details
    • Metadata details of Master and Operational Reference Stored (ORS)(es)

    The information gathered through CSM for MDM, and the XML file that you upload or send, enables Informatica Support to do the following:

    • Find any anomalies/symptoms that could cause issues.
    • Help replicate, or reproduce an issue by creating a similar environment.
    • Aid to provide a solution for the issues easily and quickly.
    • Help in Configuration Management of your environment.
    • Provide relevant health check recommendation.


    No specific prerequisites. It can run on all Informatica supported platforms.

    Steps to generate CSM for MDM

    1. Launch the URL, http://<appserverhostname>:<portnumber>/mdmsupport in the browser.
    2. Select Configuration Support Manager and provide the inputs about the environment.
    3. Click Generate New CSM.
    4. Click Download which gets displayed after successful generation of XML.
