New features, changes and Documentation - July 2021 Major release

    ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS

    24th July - IICS US West 5/US East 6 (9 PM - 12 AM PT) & Canada Central 1 and US West 1 GCP pods (6 PM  - 9 PM)

Issue:Tasks Writing to Oracle in Bulk Mode failing with "ORA-39776: fatal Direct Path API error loading table"

Solution: Please refer to the KB for the solution.

Issue: Data Integration Service in error state after agent restart post Major upgrade or RunajobCli not working.

Solution: Please avoid restarting the agent during the Runtime Continuity period. Please find more details here.

Issue: Windows Secure Agent Oracle/SQL Server tasks failing with error "Data source name not found and no default driver specified Database driver error... Function Name : Connect Database driver error... Function Name : Connect Database Error: Failed to connect to database using user and connection string [Driver=DataDirect CLOSED 8.0 SQL Server Wire Protocol for Informatica - R37;].]".

    - This issue is being caused due to the Windows Registry not being updated. This can happen due to permission restrictions on the Agent machine preventing the Registry update needed during the upgrade.

Solution: Please refer the KB for the solution: https://knowledge.informatica.com/s/article/633877

Issue: SAP HANA connection failing after July Major release with "

The test connection for <connection name> failed. com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to jdbc:sap://<DBhostname>:port/ [SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: database 'DB Name' not connected]."

Solution: This issue can occur when the DB name on the connection is not valid. Starting July release the connection validates the DB name and this error is seen if DB name is incorrect.

Previously the DB name was not being validated and connection would work with incorrect DB name as well.

Issue: Secure Agent's Process Server is going to error state after restart is done post July 2021 Major Release.

Symptoms of the issue: In Audit Log, ‘package download/deploy failed for’ can be found, and in agentcore.log an error of the following format is found along with trace:

[com.informatica.saas.lcm.lcmnative.ManifestSupervisor] - An error occurred while reading packageInfo.xml in <Informatica Cloud Secure Agent>\downloads\package-postgresql.12

    1. com.informatica.saas.infaagent.packages.AgentPackageException: Fail to copy [<Informatica Cloud Secure Agent>\downloads\package-postgresql.12\package\app] to [<Informatica Cloud Secure Agent>\apps\process-engine\<version>\..\data\temp].
In the cause, an error of the following format is found: Caused by: java.nio.file.FileAlreadyExistsException: <Informatica Cloud Secure Agent>\apps\process-engine\<version>\..\data\temp\<further file location> This issue is caused because Agent is unable to replace the files that exist under temp directory.Solution:
    1. In the directory <agent home>/downloads in agent machine, check if the following folders are present:
    • package-postgresql.XX
    • package-process-engine.XX

       2. Once the folders are checked, stop the Agent (you can also stop only process server from Administrator UI). After stopping the agent, rename the folder : <agent home>/apps/process-engine/data/temp to <agent home>/apps/process-engine/data/temp_bkp

      3.  After removing the folder in step 2, restart the agent (or process server from UI)

Issue: Application Integration Processes invoking Data Integration Jobs (using Run Cloud Task Service) may get stuck in “running” state  after July 2021 Major Release.

This issue is caused because CAI_Anonymous_<Org ID> user is not given the Service Consumer user role.

Solution: Provide Service Consumer user role to CAI_Anonymous_<Org ID> user on top of any other role already provided to the same user.
