New features and Documentation - Winter '19

What's new in IICS Winter ‘19

    Docs: https://network.informatica.com/onlinehelp/IICS/prod/CDI/en/index.htm

Issue: The connection test failed because of the following error: Access denied for user 'username'@'hostname'

Solution: This issue is seen when the user provided in the MySQL connection does not have appropriate permissions on the database level to connect from the secure agent machine IP address/hostname.

    KB: https://kb.informatica.com/solution/23/Pages/69/571068.aspx

Issue: RR_4036 Error connecting to database [ Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 182:

    (MySQL ODBC 8.0 Unicode Driver, C:\Program Files\MySQL\Connector ODBC 8.0\myodbc8w.dll).

Solution: This is  an OS related error and occurs when the system is not able to load the required ODBC drivers-'myodbc8w.dll' (in this case).  KB: https://kb.informatica.com/solution/23/Pages/69/570575.aspx

Issue: Advanced TaskFlow becomes invalid when I edit it, why?

Solution: The validation error being reported is correct. Prior to Winter '19, we were not catching such errors. Now we do.There could be an incorrect reference of the parameters or likely, the task was modified after the task flow was created. You may have to re-select the task in Data Task step.

Issue: “java.lang.Integer cannot be cast to java.lang.Long” issue with existing Redshift mapping

Solution: Please do refresh fields to overcome this error.

Issue: Users not being able to run the Advanced Task Flow and would get an error: “Failed taskflow1: publish error”

Solution: Known issue for now, and is being tracked for fix/improvement. Please make sure that the user has the Update privilege enabled on the task flow.

Issue:  "ERROR: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: queryAll" in Salesforce jobs after Winter '19 upgrade.

Solution: Please find the solution listed in this KB: 571526

    Issue:

Error when trying to run a task using runajob cli task: IDS_089 - The user account is locked, click on forgot password to receive an email to unlock your account.

    Solution:

This issue impacted agents which use restenv.properties from "{agent.Dir}/downloads/package-runAJobCli.2/” or as a symbolic link under “{agent.Dir}/apps/runAJobCli/” instead of a file.

The older package "package-runAJobCli.2" was deleted as part of the upgrade causing the 'restenv.properties' reference to be missing.

    To resolve this issue:

    1. create copies of the template files "log4j_default.properties" and "restenv_default.properties" under “{agent.Dir}/apps/runAJobCli/”
    2. Rename the copies as "log4j.properties" and "restenv.properties" respectively.
    3. Update the "restenv.properties" with the credentials for the IICS Org (username/password) and any custom configuration like (RETRYCOUNT/PROXYHOST etc.)

Please note: It is recommended to run runAJobCli from “{agent.Dir}/apps/runAJobCli/" and not from {agent.dir}\downloads as upgrades will wipe out older packages.

Issue: RunajobCli utility not triggering tasks after Winter '19 upgrade

Solution: Please edit the restenv.properties file as described in KB to resolve this issue: 571413

Issue: Users not being able to run the Advanced Task Flow and would get an error: “Failed taskflow1: publish error”

Solution: Known issue for now, and is being tracked for fix/improvement. Please make sure that the user has the Update privilege enabled on the task flow.

Issue: A suspended Taskflow moves to a Failed state in the All Jobs UI, even after being resumed, although the rest of the steps/task continues to run in the background until completion.

Solution: Known issue for now, and we are working on a fix. Until then, users will need to monitor the rest of the DI tasks execution and completion, through the Monitor UI Console. At the end of the task flow completion, the status of the task flow will automatically be moved to being “Completed”. For some reasons, if there is another failure down the flow, the task will continue to show as Failed in the UI (and there wouldn't be any option to Resume). In that case, the admin user of the Org can manually Retry and Resume the specific step in the Advanced View, and the Resume the entire task flow from the Outline tab of the Advanced View.
