Informatica Customer 360 Insights 2021-1, an intelligent Customer Data Platform for customer engagement, has been released to shipping and is available immediately.

Customer 360 Insights (C360i) powers digital transformation initiatives with its enhanced personalized marketing and deep analytics functionalities that connect and enrich customer data for a contextual, 360-degree view.

This release offers a rich set of features and usability enhancements that will benefit marketing and implementation teams. The details are as follows:

  • OOTB Aggregation Insights: Administrators/Configurators can now create aggregation insights without having to create an Enrichment function. This productivity enhancement lets admins create insights by selecting input attributes, aggregate function (10 functions including Count, Sum, Average, Max, Min, First, Last, Unique, Unique Count, Most Frequent), conditions/filters (just like SQL), and output attributes for persistence.
  • Customer Segmentation: Marketers can now collaborate on segments by sharing them with other marketers. A marketer who is sharing a segment can define the control for view, edit and stamp.
  • Segment Stamping: Marketers can now schedule stamping as a one-time or continuous activity. The stamping can also be scheduled to be auto-deactivated, thus reducing the need for manual deactivation. The performance improvement now enables marketers to stamp a segment with millions of customers.
  • Foundation for Analytics Enhancements: Data Engineers or Administrators need not configure Input and Output Transformers anymore for generating Insights using AIML models. This enables Data Engineers to quickly configure AIML models. Admin can also configure the Insights to be run in NRT (Near Real-Time) mode. In this release, we introduced filters for Source Records to configure the Insights on records ingested from specific sources. Data Engineers can also order the insights to be executed in the sequence required to generate the dependent insights.
  • Config UI Enhancements: Enrichments can now be easily identified using the description field that has been enabled in Configuration UI. The OOTB Enrichment functions are decoupled on the attributes on which they are executed. This empowers Administrators / Configurators to reuse the enrichment functions on custom input and output attributes.
  • License Validation: With 2021-1 the licensing control has been introduced in C360i. License validation ensures that Ingest and Data processing workflows, Rest APIs, Business UI, and Configuration UI are controlled using the license file which has an expiry date. The installer has been enhanced to support installation with the license file.
  • UX Improvements: The user experience is enhanced in Customer Search, Perspective, and Segmentation pages. The readability, visualization, and usability have been improved for a better user experience. The navigation has been improved for ease of traversal between the various pages.
  • Separate Authentication for UI, RTS, and Config UI: Before 2021-1 all the three services could use only one authentication type at any given point in time. With this release, admins can configure different authentication types for these services at the same time.
  • EMR Auto-scaling: Clients do not have to start with a large cluster in EMR anymore. With the 2021-1 release, EMR auto-scaling feature has been enabled to support automatic resizing based on cluster metrics to optimize cost and speed.

In addition, many other features and enhancements have been included in this release. You can refer to the Customer 360 Insights Release Guide for details.

Informatica Customer 360 Insights 2020-2 HotFix-1-CDP, an AI-powered, data-first customer data platform for customer engagement, has been released to shipping and is available immediately.

Customer 360 Insights (C360i) powers digital transformation initiatives with its enhanced personalized marketing and deep analytics functionalities that connect and enrich customer data for a contextual, 360-degree view of customers.

The 2020-2 HotFix-1-CDP release offers fixes to various features and provides usability enhancements that will benefit the marketing and implementation teams. The details are as follows:

  • Externalization of credentials: With this release, all the critical configurations like credentials, security configurations etc., have been externalized. The externalized credentials could be rotated using third-party applications for better security.
  • Role-based Authorization to ES: As an enhancement to AWS ES Connection, the product will now leverage the node-specific role to authenticate service requests to AWS ES. Please note that this is applicable only when AWS ES is used.
  • Stamping records as part of Data Pipeline: Stamping is made part of the data pipeline. For the first time, the user will stamp Customer Records from the UI. After that, if there are customer data changes then workflow takes all the rules from the metadata and runs the stamping process automatically.
  • Enhancements to Rule-Based Publishing: This hotfix provides OOTB implementation that can be either re-used or extended to enable rule-based publishing to S3 based on AWS authentication. With this enhancement, the rule-based publishing destinations grew to HDFS, Kafka, and S3.
  • Customizable Kafka Topic Names: With this HF release, users can configure the Kafka Topic names when installing the product.
  • AWS Roles for Segment Data Export: As an enhancement to Segmentation data export, exporting the configuration to S3 buckets for stamping, will now consider IAM Roles by dynamically reading credentials from the nodes.
  • Zoomdata Fix: The visual analytics URL configured in the application.properties were getting replaced by if the URL contains “zoomdata” string. The fix updated the service not to replace the “zoomdata” string.
  • Updating default password for existing users: Effective from this release, administrators can change the default password for users (who haven’t logged in until now) to a custom default password. This will provide an additional layer of security to users who haven’t logged in for a while.

Informatica Customer 360 Insights 2020-2, an AI-powered, data-first customer data platform for customer engagement, has been released to shipping and is available immediately.

Customer 360 Insights (C360i) powers digital transformation initiatives with its enhanced personalized marketing and deep analytics functionalities that connect and enrich customer data for a contextual, 360-degree view of customers.

After the successful launch of C30i 2020-1 earlier this year, we are proud to integrate the next set of innovations into C360i 2020-2. This release offers a rich set of features and usability enhancements that will benefit the marketing and implementation teams. The details are as follows:

  • Stamping in Customer Segmentation: As an enhancement to the Customer Segmentation feature released in 2020-1, designated marketers can now stamp the segmented customer records and persist them with the customer profile. This capability allows business users to view the segment the customer belongs to and gain further insight into the customer profile.
  • Match Training Improvements: At the request of customers, we have made it easier to conduct match training process by adding the following columns:
    • The Match Scenario ID to the metrics page to uniquely identify the various scenarios for match analysis.
    • The Match Confidence Score to help the Match Trainer easily assign the Match Pairs that are weakly matched and require further review.
  • Enhanced Access Control: Protecting personally identifiable information is a necessity when managing customer data. Administrators can now assign privileges to designated roles and users to be able to download customer data, thus allowing for enhanced security.
  • Externalized Credentials Management: Security management mandates the flexibility to update access credentials regularly in enterprise applications. C360i now supports the system administrators to externalize configurations to environment variables and change the access tokens and credentials as needed. This enhancement offers the ability to automate the credential rotation.
  • APIs for Access Management: Externalizing Access Control APIs allow administrators to control and manage user access to the application. Administrators can use Rest APIs to authenticate themselves and manage users, roles, and corresponding privileges. To enable seamless transition, the API-related information is available on Swagger UI, an interface for users to quickly adopt the specifications and understand all relevant parameters.

In addition, many other features and enhancements have been included in this release. You can refer to the Customer 360 Insights Release Guide for details.
