Who would benefit from this release?

This release is for all customers and prospects who want to take advantage of the updated Hadoop distribution support and fixes to the core platform and other functionalities of Informatica Data Quality, Data Engineering Integration, Data Engineering Quality, Data Engineering Streaming, Data Privacy Management, Enterprise Data Catalog, and Enterprise Data Preparation. You can apply this service pack after you install or upgrade to Informatica 10.5.1.

This release also addresses Security fix for Apache Log4j vulnerabilities (CVE-2021-44228, CVE-2021-45046).

  • Scanner:
    • Tibco Spotfire Server added as a resource in Enterprise Data Catalog
  • Discovery Enhancements:
    • Added the following profiling feature for Hive Tables: Random Percentage with sampling size or upper limit data sampling in Spark execution mode using the jvm option
    • Added the following profiling feature for Google Big Query: First N rows and Random % data sampling options for native tables, clustered tables, and partitioned tables, with the "required_partition_filter" option set to false, and external tables created on top of Google Cloud Storage
  • Deployment:
    • Sudo Requirement Changes
      • The commands tee and sed no longer require sudo privileges
      • The command sshd requires sudo privileges for the "cluster validation utility" before upgrade
    • TLS v1.3 is disabled by default in Informatica Cluster Service
  • Security fix for Apache Log4j vulnerabilities

    • Added IBM Db2 LUW 11.5
    • Added Tibco Spotfire Server LTS

Data Privacy Management
